Just go through an unforgettable experience discovering the birds of Tierra del Fuego with us, watching this particular environment at every step. We will start our trip along the steppe going towards the southern part of the Island and through the transitional zone or “Ecotono” to finally arrive at the Cordillera Austral (Southern Mountain Range).

Day 01 / Río Grande – Río Chico

Arrival at the airport of Río Grande and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, departure towards Chico River, in the northern area of Río Grande, in order to watch some of our wide avifauna. Return to the hotel late in the evening. Dinner.

Day 02 / ío Grande – Ushuaia

Breakfast. We will leave the hotel to travel along the National Road Nº3 towards the southern extreme of the Island, passing by the cattle-raising area of Tierra del Fuego (steppe) and the lake area until we start crossing the Andes Cordillera. Lunch during the trip. Arrival at Ushuaia in the afternoon. Accomodation at hotel. Dinner.

Day 03 / Martial Glacier Beagle

Breakfast. Departure on a half day excursion towards the Natural Reserve of the Martial Glacier where the Whitebellied Seed-snipe inhabits (700/900 masl). A very special vegetation grows at the base of this glacier, which is a good habitat for the different species of birds. Lunch box. Transfer to the port of Ushuaia to navigate along the Beagle Channel eastwards (Sea Lions’, Birds’ Island and Penguins’ Rookery). We will return late in the evening to the port and then to the hotel to have dinner and finally take a rest.

Day 04 / Ushuaia

Breakfast. Full day tour in Tierra del Fuego National Park where both the marine and andean environments combine together. Therefore it has been chosen to protect this unique area in Argentina. Return to the port. Transfer to the hotel. Dinner.

Day 05 / Ushuaia

Breakfast. Transfer to the airport to board the return flight.
